Lc’s Homer Signs To Attend Lafayette
Mike Homer, a two-time first-team All-Greater Spokane League basketball player from Lewis and Clark, has signed with Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.
The Patriot League was represented by Colgate in the NCAA tournament.
Homer, a 6-foot-3 guard, averaged more than 17 points as a junior and 15 as a senior. The Tigers qualified for the state tournament this past season.
Earlier, another first-team All-GSL pick, Damian Long of Mead, was accepted at Harvard University.
Three girls from the GSL signed early. MVP Stacy Clinesmith of Mead is going to Cal-Santa Barbara, teammate Chelsea Clark was signed by Gonzaga and Jennifer Swinton, a first-team center from Ferris, is headed to the University of Portland.
The Gonzaga University women also picked up Syd Perno, an all-league first-team selection from University.
