Spokane audiences of classical music know Michael Faust. The German flutist has played baroque music in concerts at the Northwest Bach Festival since 1991. Sunday, Faust will take a turn into the 20th century with Spokane pianist Kendall Feeney.
Faust and Feeney will perform works by Prokofiev, Messiaen, Verese and Reich in the Zephyr series.
Feeney discovered Faust’s interest in new music when he attended a Zephyr performance while in town for the Bach Festival two years ago.
Feeney says. “His playing and his involvement with the music he plays makes him a delight to hear and perform with.”
