Air Force To Conduct Military Exercises

From Staff And Wire Reports

There will be more military planes and helicopters in the air over Stevens, Pend Oreille and Bonner counties next week.

But don’t worry about an invasion by forces of the New World Order. U.S. Air Force officials say the planes are ours.

The aircraft will be participating in a special combat search-and-rescue exercise called “Woodland Cougar.”

Units from around the country will be practicing everything from a mass-casualty evacuation near Cusick, Wash., to water rescues in Priest Lake. The exercises are designed to give crews the most realistic scenarios to practice search-and-rescue missions.

The exercise runs April 23-30. , DataTimes
