Travis Best’s 3-point shot with 8.8 seconds to play gave Indiana an 89-88 victory over Cleveland on Sunday in a meaningless regular-season finale for the two playoff teams in Indianapolis.

Cleveland had its biggest lead of the game, 48-34, following a three-point play by John Amaechi with 1:57 left in the opening half. Indiana cut its deficit to 65-61 after three periods despite shooting just 20 percent in the third quarter.
