Larry Metler Federal Way, Wash.

No service was held for Larry W. Metler, 77, who died April 7 in a Burien, Wash. hospital.

Mr. Metler was born in Spokane. He graduated from North Central High School and was a resident of Spokane for 51 years.

He was a home designer in Spokane and the Seattle area and recently retired as a consultant for King County Housing Authority. He was a Mason and member of the Spokane El Katif Shrine Temple.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lucille Metler.

He is survived by one son, Donald Metler, Spokane; one sister, Ruby Blackburn, Portland and two granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.

Geraldine Saywers Spokane

Service for Geraldine Saywers, 59, was Friday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Cremation followed the service.

Mrs. Saywers, who was born in San Diego, died Tuesday.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane since 1979. She was a board member of the Greater Spokane Shetland Sheep Dog Club and a member of Calvary Chapel.

Mrs. Saywers is survived by her husband of 41 years, Herbert Saywers; one son, Anthony Saywers, and two daughters, Athena Poumele and Teresa Canfield, all of Spokane; one sister, Barbara Vargas of San Diego; her mother, Nina Smithers of Spokane; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of Washington or the American Cancer Society.
