Americans Win Another

Compiled From Wire Services

The United States won its second game in as many tries at the World Ice Hockey Championships with a 4-2 victory over Germany, getting two goals from Chris Tancill of the San Jose Sharks and strong goaltending from minor-leaguer Parris Duffus.

Duffus, who was playing with Springfield in the AHL when he was selected for the team, faced 36 shots - 28 in the first two periods. He got the job by default when three other NHL goalies said no to the U.S. team.
