Mcrae Creek Road Closed For Repair

The U.S. Forest Service is closing the McRae Creek Road in the Fernan Ranger District for the next two weeks for reconstruction.

The closed portion begins at County Road 503 - the Old River Road - and runs to the junction of Forest Service Road 335 near the Black Canyon Saddle, according to the Idaho Panhandle National Forests.

The reconstruction is part of a major improvement project and includes replacing culverts and reshaping portions of the road. The work should mean the road is better able to withstand heavy water runoff.
