North Idaho Women Earn Accounting Scholarships

Valerie Linsenmann, Moscow, and Kristina Straumfjord Bungen, Coeur d’Alene, were both recently awarded $800 scholarships from the Coeur d’Alene Chapter of American Society of Women Accountants.

Linsenmann is attending the University of Idaho with a double major in accounting/finance and Bungen will be a senior this fall at Lewis-Clark State College in Coeur d’Alene, majoring in business administration (with account emphasis).

The following University of Idaho Students have been honored with membership to Tau Sigma Delta, the honorary society for architecture and the allied arts: Moscow; Christine Nelson, an art major, and Rajat Randev, an architecture major. Nordman, Idaho; Jevon Truex, an architecture major and child of Pam Truex. Rathdrum; Chad Dodson, an architecture major and son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dodson.

Local youths were recently elected to leadership positions at the regional electric cooperative youth rally held in June.

The following Kootenai Electric Cooperative sponsored youths and their positions are as follows: Kim Pearson, a Coeur d’Alene High School graduate elected cooperative president; David Wood, a Coeur d’Alene High School junior elected general manager for the entire youth rally; Tricia Craft, a Lake City High School junior chosen to represent KEC at a national cooperative rally in Washington D.C. next summer.

Wood and Ben Lee, a Coeur d’Alene High School Junior, will return to the regional rally as counselors next year.
