Descriptions Of Robbers Similar In Two Convenience Store Holdups

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two Spokane County convenience stores have been robbed in the past two days by men fitting similar descriptions, authorities said.

On Tuesday night, a robber grabbed a clerk at the Jackpot Food Mart, 7018 E. Sprague, and stuck an object in the employee’s side. The robber then ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The employee described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds.

At 4:15 Wednesday morning, the Maid O’ Clover at 2005 N. Hamilton was robbed. A man held one hand inside his shirt as though he had a weapon and demanded money, police said.

The robber was described as white or Hispanic, about 25 years old, clean-shaven with short hair.

In both cases, no weapon was seen. The robbers wore sunglasses and a gray shirt or jacket, witnesses told police.
