Blake Sparks Cincy To Win

Jeff Blake threw three touchdown passes behind a second-string offensive line and Cincinnati forced five turnovers, making life miserable for Washington’s Heath Shuler and Gus Frerotte in a 28-7 victory Friday night.

The game was supposed to decide the Redskins’ long-running Heath-Gus battle, but coach Norv Turner will have a hard time evaluating an evening in which neither quarterback received much support. They finished a combined 11 for 29 for 113 yards, with one interception, one fumble and no touchdowns.
