20-Year-Old Man Sentenced To Life For Beating Death

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole in the beating and drowning of a Snohomish man.

Steven Eggers and accomplice 17-year-old Michael Skay were convicted in July of aggravated first-degree murder in the December 1995 killing of Blair Scott, 27.

The two are accused of brutally beating Scott at a teenage drinking party in Snohomish, then tying him up with telephone wire and dumping him into the Skykomish River near Monroe. Scott was still alive and still bound when he was thrown into the river.

Skay also received life in prison.
