Web Friendly To Film Lovers

It seems not a day goes by without the Internet becoming more hospitable to film lovers. For example, next month the Web sites run by the Sundance Channel (http:/ /www.sundancechannel.com) and Filmmaker Magazine (which will be http://www.filmmag.com in September; go there now and there’s a link to the current site) will cover the Independent Feature Film Market Sept. 15-22.

Both sites are worth a visit, particularly Filmmaker Magazine. They have experience with “cybercasting” film festival events, and the audio-video coverage they did of the Florida Film Festival, including audience-filmmaker talks, is still online. The Sundance Channel’s site is, naturally, mostly about the channel, but it also features a page called “Rant,” on which a filmmaker sounds off on a particular, personal beef.
