Lev Vlasenko, a renowned Russian pianist and longtime professor at the prestigious Moscow Conservatory, has died in Australia at age 67, a colleague said Monday.
Tatyana Ivanova, an administrator at the Moscow Conservatory, said Vlasenko died Friday. The cause of death was not known.
Vlasenko moved to Brisbane, Australia, to live with his daughter after he developed heart trouble in 1995, Ivanova said.
He became a music professor at the Brisbane Conservatory several months ago, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported.
