Bungee Jumping Suspected In Death

Compiled From Wire Services

A 6-year-old boy fell to his death in what may have been an attempt to bungee-jump from his bedroom window.

Dorian Jones was found unconscious early Monday in a parking lot below his second-floor window, an elastic cord and terrycloth bathrobe belt tied around his waist. He died on the way to a hospital.

“Maybe he was thinking about bungee jumping from the window, but I just don’t know. Who is to say what a 6-year-old is thinking?” police Lt. Donald Gentner said.

In the boy’s bedroom, police found a knob had been broken off his dresser. They said Dorian may have tied the cord to the knob.
