Mother Teresa ‘Significantly Better’

Mother Teresa sat up briefly to look at get-well cards and breathed without a respirator on Tuesday, her 86th birthday. Her fever was gone and a lung infection was under control, doctors said.

“Mother Teresa is significantly better,” said Dr. S.K. Sen, medical director of the Woodlands Nursing Home where the Nobel Peace laureate was hospitalized last week.
