Telect Subsidiary Lands Record Contract

A Telect Inc. subsidiary has garnered the largest contract ever awarded to the Liberty Lake company.

Telect Control Products will receive nearly $2 million for a security control system at the Washington County Justice Complex in Oregon, said Director Marilyn Smith.

The 540-bed facility will incorporate the company’s touch-screen technology for controlling electronic equipment, including detection and surveillance systems, she said.

“Our customer has chosen the latest in security control technology,” Smith said. “It’s a fully customized, updateable system.”

She said installation should start next summer, with completion expected sometime in early 1998.
