Authorities are seeking the driver of a small, dark car who struck an 8-year-old girl in the Spokane Valley and didn’t stop Thursday night.
The victim, Shawna A. Magney, suffered head and facial injuries, the Washington State Patrol said.
She was in stable condition late Thursday at Valley Hospital and Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.
The state patrol said the accident occurred between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. The girl was crossing Eighth Avenue at University and was hit by a car headed west on Eighth.
