Oldman Joins Ford Project

Gary Oldman has signed to star opposite Harrison Ford in Columbia Pictures’ untitled Ford project. The action-thriller, to be directed by Wolfgang Petersen,is the story of a U.S. president - aboard Air Force One - who is in jeopardy from terrorists and must take matters into his own hands. The film is due to start shooting after Jan. 1.

Not just another stray: Joaquin Phoenix is in negotiations to join the cast of Oliver Stone’s “Stray Dogs.” Phoenix joins cast members Bill Paxton, Nick Nolte, Claire Danes, Jennifer Lopez and Billy Bob Thornton. Phoenix will play Danes’ boyfriend in the story of a hoodlum whose car breaks down in a small town. He becomes dangerously involved with a beautiful woman and her husband.

Now you can listen to ‘ER’: Atlantic Records thinks it has just what the doctor ordered for fans of the hit NBC show “ER.” The label is rush releasing a soundtrack album to the program, which is up for a leading 17 Emmy Awards on Sept. 8.
