Lillie Custer Colfax, Wash.

Graveside service for Lillie Custer, 91, is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at Colfax Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Custer, who died Tuesday, was born in Dusty, Wash.

She graduated from Colfax High School and Cheney Normal School, where she received a teaching certificate.

She taught school for a short period of time and married James Custer in 1929.

They lived in Portland, and following her husband’s death in 1970, Mrs. Custer moved to Spokane. She moved to Colfax 18 months ago.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a sister, Bertha Mader of Colfax.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
