Ameriflo Will Construct New Manufacturing Plant

Ameriflo Inc., a Spokane maker of ducting, conveyors and other industrial equipment, plans to build a new factory on North Dollar Road with the help of $750,000 in revenue bonds from Spokane County.

Owner Roger Storey said the project will increase Ameriflo’s manufacturing space by about 50 percent - to almost 13,000 square feet - and allow the company to add to its work force of 16.

“We plan to add at least four to six more people,” he said.

Ameriflo’s existing facility at 6615 E. Main did not have room enough for more manpower, Storey said.

“We’re turning down opportunities to bid jobs,” he said. “I hate not bidding jobs.”

Storey said expansion will enable Ameriflo to pursue more local work, and seek more contracts from around the region as well.

In addition to more floor space, he said the company will upgrade its sawing equipment and install more welding stations.

Groundwork has already begun, Storey said. Occupancy is expected next spring.

Garco Construction is the contractor. The bonds, which are not financial obligations of the county, will be issued to the Dollar Road Partnership, a group of investors financing the Ameriflo plant project.
