Malignant Tumor Removed From Havel’s Lung
Surgeons removed a malignant tumor from President Vaclav Havel’s lung Monday and said the prognosis for the 60-year-old Czech leader was good.
Ladislav Spacek, spokesman for the playwright-turned-president who led Prague’s “Velvet Revolution” against communism in 1989, said the tumor was removed without complication. He said the lung cancer was caught at an early stage.
