Addition Of Point Guard’s Cousin Gives Nic A Real Gem

The North Idaho College men’s basketball team made Myles of improvement on Tuesday.

Leonard Myles, cousin of current Cardinals point guard Todd Myles and a member of a national champion AAU basketball team, is expected to join the team in January.

He’s taking his GED tests this week in hopes of becoming eligible.

The 6-foot-5 Myles was recruited by schools such as Syracuse and Illinois. According to Hoop Scoop magazine, Myles was a fourth-team All-American as a junior. He didn’t play his senior season of high school because he transferred schools in Chicago and was ruled ineligible.

“He’s a definite blue chipper,” NIC coach Hugh Watson said. “It’s really going to make a difference. He’s a slashing type and a rebounder. He can play three or four positions.”

“I’ll do whatever I can to help the team,” Myles said.
