Lois Wechsler Receives Norma D. Jaguar Award

Lois Wechsler, general manager for Templin’s Resort Hotel, was honored with the Norma D. Jaguar Award at the 14th Annual Women’s Forum held recently at the resort.

Wechsler, who received the award along with Templin’s Resort Hotel, was cited for joint contributions and services to the community. The award is named in honor of Norma D. Jaguar, who founded the Women’s Forum organization 14 years ago.

Several University of Idaho students recently received transportation scholarships, internships or fellowships from the University of Idaho National Center for Advanced Technology (NCATT):

James Choate, whose project is part of a research grant funded by MK Train Control Inc., under the Federal Railroad Administration, is designing and implementing a data communication system for a laboratory demonstration of the propulsion system of a high-speed train incorporating multiple energy storage devices; Matthew Zoll, whose project is funded through a University of Washington TransNow Transportation fellowship, is expanding the Autoscope capabilities through the design of a new video control system that is part of a major renovation of an arterial in Moscow.
