Cardinals Finish 17th In Vegas

North Idaho College placed 17th out of 45 teams at the 15th annual Las Vegas Invitational wrestling tournament Saturday.

Half of the top 20 schools in the nation participated. Perennial power Iowa State took first place, followed by Illinois. Cal State Bakersfield was third. Michigan and Fresno State placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jessie Schaeffer turned in the best performance for NIC with a fourth-place finish in the 134-pound class.

Jason Moaney (167) and Josh Clausen (190) each finished 11th.
