Curtis Tops Richland In Aaa Final

Elijah Baker ran for three touchdowns Saturday night in the Tacoma Dome to lead the Curtis Vikings to a 34-15 victory over Richland for their second straight state Class AAA championship.

The Vikings (13-1) won their fourth title in eight years under coach Bob Lucey. They also won in 1989 and 1990.

Willapa Valley 27, DeSales 20

Willapa Valley countered Brian Lindgren’s 302-yard passing day with a 258-yard rushing attack and earned the Class B-11 title by defeating De-Sales in the Tacoma Dome.

The Vikings (13-0) won their third state championship despite a 29-for-49 passing effort by Lindgren, the Irish’s sophomore quarterback. De-Sales finished 11-1.
