Missing Man’s Car Found

From Staff And Wire Reports

Authorities may have solved the disappearance of a Spokane man.

The missing man’s 1977 Ford Thunderbird was found Sunday in the Spokane River near Trent and Hamilton. Divers pulled a man’s body from the car about 4 p.m.

The body won’t be positively identified until an autopsy is performed, probably today.

But the car belonged to Erick Forsberg, 27, who was last seen Nov. 30 at Chili-d’s, 109 W. Pacific.

“It would be consistent with being the missing person,” police Sgt. Joe Peterson said.

The car was eastbound on Trent when it failed to make a turn and plunged down a river bank. Police said the death appears to be an accident.

Two people walking over the Trent bridge spotted the car about 1:30 p.m. , DataTimes
