Pullman Misses Late Shots, Shot At First Victory For Girls

Lewiston’s girls basketball team squeaked by Pullman 41-39 in a non-leaguer Wednesday when the host Greyhounds missed three shots in the final seconds.

Christa Brossman of Pullman (0-3) missed a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left. The Greyhounds also missed two putbacks.

The Bengals (4-0) connected on 4 of 9 3-point attempts, Pullman on 3 of 5. Both teams shot 17 of 58 from the floor (29 percent).

Sheila Richardson scored 10 of her 21 points in the first quarter as the Bulldogs (3-1) beat the visiting Chargers (1-3).

Springdale crept within three points in the second quarter when Hillary Dixon scored 13 of her 24 during a 20-8 run. Dixon finished with two 3-pointers and hit 6 of 6 free throws.
