Michael Vs. Shaquille Goes Through The Roof

Shaquille O’Neal vs. Michael Jordan provided TNT cable network with its fourth-highest rated regular-season NBA game, the network said Wednesday.

Jordan and the Chicago Bulls beat Shaq’s Los Angeles Lakers 129-123 in overtime Tuesday on TNT, drawing a Nielsen cable rating of 4.3, meaning about 3,028,000 homes tuned in.

All three of the higher-rated regular-season games involved either the Lakers or Bulls, and all were either Jordan or Magic Johnson comeback games. The 4.3 rating is 54 percent higher than the year’s previous TNT high.
