Two Teens Held After North Side Robbery
Police arrested two teenagers early Wednesday on suspicion of robbing a North Side convenience store.
Beer and cigarettes were stolen during the Tuesday night robbery, police said.
Witnesses gave detailed descriptions of the robbers, one of whom verbally threatened a clerk at the Exxon station, 3021 E. Wellesley. The witnesses also provided police with a description of the getaway car and its license plate number.
Police arrested the teenagers at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday - less than three hours after the robbery - near the intersection of Central and Ruby.
A 17-year-old boy was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center, police said. Jesse James Aldrich, 18, was booked into the Spokane County Jail.
Both are charged with first-degree robbery.
