Two Teens Held After North Side Robbery

Police arrested two teenagers early Wednesday on suspicion of robbing a North Side convenience store.

Beer and cigarettes were stolen during the Tuesday night robbery, police said.

Witnesses gave detailed descriptions of the robbers, one of whom verbally threatened a clerk at the Exxon station, 3021 E. Wellesley. The witnesses also provided police with a description of the getaway car and its license plate number.

Police arrested the teenagers at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday - less than three hours after the robbery - near the intersection of Central and Ruby.

A 17-year-old boy was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center, police said. Jesse James Aldrich, 18, was booked into the Spokane County Jail.

Both are charged with first-degree robbery.
