Body Of Flood Victim Recovered

From Staff And Wire Reports

Searchers have found the body of a man believed to have been swept away in last month’s floods.

Martin Vetter was found Saturday about 800 feet from the spot where his car was discovered Nov. 23, Marion County Deputy Tim Steele said.

“He was located in an area where the water had pooled and then receded enough,” Steele said. “We presume at this point that he drowned.”

Vetter’s car was found about 75 feet off Way Park Drive after the flood waters began to recede.
