Mcdonald’s Will Open At Fourth, Maple Next Week

McDonald’s is taking its Big Mac Attack to a new corner of Spokane.

The fast-food chain is opening a new restaurant at Fourth and Maple next week.

The walk-in McDonald’s on Riverside near Lincoln has been closed.

Customers in the central business district will still be able to get their break every day at the McDonald’s in the food court in the Crescent Building and 14 other locations in Spokane County.

Sub sandwich shop opens

Sparky’s Firehouse Sub Sandwiches has expanded to a new location on the South Hill.

The locally owned sub business started two years ago at Indiana and Monroe and expanded to its second location on North Division at the Y.

The newest Sparky’s is in the Regal Street business court at 29th and Regal.

All three Sparky’s are named after co-owner Michael Sparkes, a city firefighter, and are decorated with collectibles from the fire service. The tables are embossed with old news stories of big fires.

Sparkes said his business is successful because customers like the quality and freshness of his sandwiches.
