Sonia Seaton Moscow, Idaho

Burial Mass for Sonia M. Seaton, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DeSmet, Idaho. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Farmington, Wash. Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Seaton, who died Saturday, was born in Latvia.

In 1943 she and several members of her family were taken by the Germany army to a concentration camp. They were able to leave the camps in 1944, and she came to the United States in 1946, after marrying an American soldier. They settled in Wisconsin and were later divorced.

She married William Seaton in 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa. They moved to Farmington in 1970 and stayed for two years before returning to Des Moines. In 1975 they moved to Tensed, Idaho.

Her husband died in 1982.

Mrs. Seaton was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DeSmet and attended the Tensed Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Seaton of Elk and Gary Seaton of Tensed.

Miriam Barnes Spokane

Service for Miriam A. Barnes, 82, is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Hayford Community Church. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barnes, who died Sunday, was born in Swea City, Iowa.

She had lived in Spokane for 54 years and worked in the laundry department at Eastern State Hospital. She retired in 1977.

She was a volunteer at Anna Ogden Hall.

Her husband, Tom Barnes, died in 1959.

Mrs. Barnes is survived by two sons, James Barnes of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Scott Barnes of Federal Way, Wash.; a daughter, Marsha McDowell of Spokane; a stepson, Raymond Barnes of Dallas, Ore.; a brother, John Richmond of Portland; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hayford Community Church or Hospice of Spokane.

Damon Burnett Spokane

Memorial service for Damon Wayne Burnett, 28, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeview Assembly of God. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Burnett, who died Dec. 17, was born in Spokane.

He worked in sales for S&H Concessions.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Lois Burnett; two daughters, Amber and April Burnett, both of Spokane; his mother, Sadie Wagner of Spokane; a brother, Paul Burnett of Spokane; and a sister, SaraLynn Baker of Texas.

Bill Browning Spokane

Memorial service for Bill H. Browning, 73, was Sunday at Fairfield Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Browning, a former Fairfield resident, died Friday.

Born in Willapa, Wash., he was a farmer and a logger. He was also a member of Moran United Methodist Church and Triangle Grange No. 27 in Fairfield.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Browning; three sons, David Browning of Fairfield, Dan Browning of Spokane and Dean Browning of Plummer, Idaho; and five grandchildren.

Juanita Schneider Spokane

Service for Juanita E. Schneider, 79, will be in Shreveport, La. Riplinger Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schneider, who died Friday, was born in Kosse, Texas.

She had lived in Texas, Oklahoma, and Shreveport. She worked for the Bell Telephone Co. in Sacramento, Calif., San Diego and Shreveport.

In 1949 she moved to Spokane, where she worked for Pacific Northwest Bell. She retired in 1966.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Mrs. Schneider is survived by a sister, Hazel Schneider of Seattle; and two brothers, Thomas Brown of Shreveport and Coleman Brown of El Dorado, Ark.

Tommy Fletcher Spokane

Memorial service for Tommy Brown Fletcher, 55, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South.

Born in Slaton, Texas, Mr. Fletcher moved to Spokane when he was 2 years old. He died Saturday.

He had worked as an orderly for Eastern State Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi Brown; two daughters, Carman Nelson and Nikki Brown, both of Spokane; four sons, Jason and Rico Brown, both of Spokane, Tommy Brown Jr. of Chicago and Earnest Rainer of Idaho; his mother and stepfather, Jessie and Tommy Fletcher of Spokane; two sisters, Geneva Dunbar of Spokane and Susan Sparks of Kennewick; a brother, Bobby Harvey of Spokane; and eight grandchildren.

Gary Sandberg Clark Fork, Idaho

Memorial service for Gary G. Sandberg, 56, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Spokane. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sandberg died Friday at his Clark Fork home. He was 56.

He was born in Los Angeles. He moved to Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School. He served in the Navy.

He went to work at U.R.M. in 1966 and retired this spring.

Mr. Sandberg is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dianne; three daughters, Tina Sanger and Jami Rosenau, both of Spokane, and Tammy Bishopp of Vancouver, Wash.; a son, Robert Holcomb of New Haven, Conn.; his mother, Miranda Sandberg of Spokane; a sister, Carol Flerchinger of Colbert; and four grandchildren.

Ellenore Kincaid Spokane

Memorial service for Ellenore L. Kincaid, 76, is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at Opportunity Christian Church. Burial will precede at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Chewelah, Wash., Mrs. Kincaid died Sunday.

She moved to Spokane when she was a child. She worked as a clerk at The Crescent.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Philip Kincaid; three sons, Bruce, Jeffrey and Timothy Kincaid, all of Spokane; a daughter, Elizabeth Keck of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

Gerry Culhane Santa Ana, Calif.

Memorial service for Gerald D. “Gerry” Culhane, 56, is planned for 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel. McKenzie Mortuary in Signal Hill, Calif., is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Culhane, who died Dec. 6, was born in Minnesota.

He graduated from Rogers High School and served in the Army from 1964 to 1966 as a medic.

He later moved to California, where he worked as a house painter.

He is survived by a son, Ron Chapman of Spokane; five brothers, Jack Culhane of Minneapolis, Bob Culhane of Las Vegas, Nev., Dick Culhane of Reno, Nev., Don Culhane of Granada Hills, Calif., and Gene Culhane of Spokane; and five sisters, Loyce Mroczek of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Pat Upton of Denver, Ihla Lackowski of Roseville, Calif., Barbara Eisiminger of Monterey, Calif., and Carole Adams of Spokane.

LeRoy Burlingame Spokane

No service will be held for LeRoy W. Burlingame at his request. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Burlingame, 69, died Dec. 19.

He was born in Chehalis, Wash.

He moved to Spokane in the mid1960s and worked in the steelfabrication industry. He had operated Burlingame Steel since 1973 and had worked for Haskins Steel and Ed’s Welding in Spokane.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marian Burlingame; two daughters, Wanda Blankenship of Otis Orchards and Trina Benham of Marysville, Wash.; a son, Howard Burlingame of Spokane; a brother, Walter Burlingame of Steilacoom, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.
