Casting Call Became Gang Rape, Man Says

Associated Press

A former ABC-TV casting director and four other men were ordered to stand trial on charges that they sodomized an aspiring male actor.

The actor claims that casting director Jerry Marshall invited him to his home in August 1993 to meet some ABC executives. Once there, he said he was drugged, bound and gang-raped by Marshall and the others, who were not ABC employees.

The actor, who said he was a homosexual, later was driven in his own car to Beverly Hills and abandoned. Municipal Court Judge Charles Rubin threw out one count of kidnapping against Marshall and the other four defendants, but ordered them held on charges of sodomy and oral copulation.
