The War Within

The extreme edge of the anti-government movement is erupting in violence throughout the country.

To track this new wave of domestic terrorism, a Spokesman-Review reporter and photographer spent three months traveling to 10 states.

They found a secret national meeting of militia members in Kentucky. They interviewed a court clerk in California who was beaten up for refusing to file certain papers. And they pieced together a complex pattern of terrorism that no single law enforcement agency is tracking.

Watch for The War Within, a three-part series starting Sunday.
