Classic Teamwork Keys Lake City Win

The Coeur d’Alene/Lake City Classic didn’t turn out to be a classic, but Lake City provided some classic play.

Katie Hatrock and Lindsay Herbert combined for 37 points and 10 assists Saturday to guide the Timberwolves (9-1) to a 61-36 win over Colville (2-5) at the splintered tournament.

Bad roads prevented Orofino from joining LC, Colville and CdA during the weekend, but the Maniacs hope to make up the games early next week. Colville beat CdA Friday while LC rested.

The Timberwolves’ Alison Asher added 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots.
