Murder Of Girl, 6, Investigated

Family members of a slain 6-year-old beauty queen were allowed Sunday to accompany the girl’s body to Atlanta for burial.

JonBenet Ramsey’s strangled body was discovered the morning after Christmas in the basement of the family’s 15-room home, about eight hours after a ransom note was found.

Police continued to say no suspects have been ruled out, including family members, and they have yet to interview the mother, former Miss West Virginia Patricia Ramsey, and father, John Ramsey, president of Access Graphics, one of Boulder’s largest companies.

The parents were believed to have departed Sunday for Atlanta, where the family moved from in 1991. The girl’s maternal grandparents live in the suburb of Roswell.
