James Hamp Assigned To Spokane Recruiting Station

Staff Sgt. James R. Hamp, son of the Rev. C.E. Hamp, Spokane, has been assigned to the Army Recruiting Station in Spokane.

He will be responsible for recruitment in the Lewis and Clark High School area. He is a 1981 LC graduate.

Hamp, who has been with the Army for 13 years, has been responsible for recruitment in Sacramento and Portland.

Four Inland Northwest students graduated from the University of Northern Colorado last spring.

Lisa M. Lehr received a bachelor’s degree and graduated with honors. Paul N. Monville and Beth S. Williams both received master’s degrees. All are from Spokane.

Jeff Fortin, Chattaroy, received his bachelor’s degree.

Sarah Bodnar, daughter of Richard and Janice Bodnar of Spokane, recently graduated from the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

Bodnar was in the Naval Nurse Candidate Program and was commissioned an ensign at graduation. After attending officer indoctrination school in Newport, R.I., she will be stationed at the Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego.

David Peterson has been recognized in Who’s Who Among American High School students for his scholarship, leadership and service. Peterson, son of Dennis and Nina Peterson, will graduate from Rogers High School next June.

Western Washington University announced Inland Northwest students named to the honor roll for the 1995 fall quarter.

Receiving 4.0 grade-point-averages were:

Jason Lloyd Randles, Newport, Wash.; Kathleen Jennifer Law, Pullman; James Christopher Baird, Jennifer Anne Back, Dana Kathryn Brannan, William Martin Dirks and Andrew Garrett Richardson, all of Spokane.

Other honor roll students: Carrie Marie Field, Nine Mile Falls; and Andrew Patrick Francis and Shandra Dawn Wilcox, both of Pullman.

From Spokane were Angela Ann Adams, Matthew Lewis Bell, Cara E. Borhauer, Richard Henry Denenny III, Brady Alan Hanson, Erica Michelle Nihoul, Stephanie Dawn Nordrum, Emily Anne Peterson, Cori Ann Rasmussen, Leanne Michelle Reed, Katherine Fontaine Romberg, Katherine A. Schiffner, Rachael Israel Watters and Jennifer Dawn Wilson.

From Veradale were Sally Marie Burns and Sarah Elizabeth Tompkins.
