Thursday’s results

UW 80, (14) Arizona 79 (OT)

Jason Hartman made a free throw with 1.1 seconds left in overtime Thursday night, lifting the Huskies to their first victory in Tucson in 12 years.

Hartman, who scored 18 points, missed a 3-pointer at the end of regulation, which ended 73-73.

His second free throw hit the rim hard, but Arizona’s Reggie Geary grabbed the rebound and called time out.

With a second on the clock, Geary threw the in-bounds pass the length of the floor and hit the backboard. It came back to teammate Corey Williams, but he missed a 16-footer as time expired.

Bryant Boston also scored 18 points for the Huskies, who gained a share of second place with their fifth straight victory and first at the McKale Center since January 1984.

Williams scored 20 points and Geary 19 for the Wildcats.
