Seizinger Triumphs In Super-G

Compiled From Wire Services

Germany’s Katja Seizinger won a tricky super-G race at Val D’Isere, France to move within four points of Austrian Anita Wachter’s lead in the overall standings with her fourth World Cup victory of the season at Val D’Isere, France. Seizinger was timed in 1 minute, 11.32 seconds, .26 seconds faster than Austrian Renate Goetschl.

Picabo Street, meanwhile, anxiously awaits a pair of downhills today. The Sun Valley, Idaho, resident had a streak of six downhill wins over two seasons broken in St. Anton, Austria, but still easily leads the standings in that event.
