Jack Hurst Chicago Tribune

Linda Davis’ vocal gifts are such that she made a fan of Reba McEntire. This fanaticism has led to a contract with McEntire’s management company, a hit duet with McEntire on a McEntire album and then a job singing backup with McEntire on the road.

Now McEntire does a duet with Davis on Davis’ new album, “Some Things Are Meant to Be.”

Vincent’s 2nd album out

Ex-bluegrass singer Rhonda Vincent, an idol of 1995 Country Music Association female vocalist of the year Alison Krauss, is back with her second album for Giant Records, “Trouble Free.”

It boasts backup harmonies by Dolly Parton, a duet with Randy Travis and songs by Carl Jackson, Songwriter of the Year Kostas, NRBQ’s Al Anderson and Christian music superstar Steven Curtis Chapman.
