Cda Firm Honored For Pollution Control

From Staff And Wire Reports

Lake City Radiator will receive the first ever Award of Excellence from the Coeur d’Alene City Council Tuesday for voluntarily installing water pollution control equipment.

The company installed a sophisticated water recycling system that means the company no longer will discharge to the city’s sanitary sewer system, city officials said.

Because Lake City Radiator went to the expense without any prompting, the wastewater department asked the City Council to establish the award.

The award will go to “individuals and firms that go the extra mile to significantly reduce the amount of pollutants” going to the wastewater treatment plant,” said Sid Fredrickson, wastewater superintendent. , DataTimes
