Girlfriend Accused Of Bid To Hire Hitman

The girlfriend of a police officer has been accused of trying to arrange the killing of his 14-month-old daughter in what authorities said was an apparent attempt to strengthen their romance.

Martha Garcia, 22, was charged on Friday with conspiracy, accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill the child, Nadria Gonzalez, for $3,000.
