Chenoweth Recovers From Gallstone Surgery

From Staff And Wire Reports

Surgeons removed gallstones and fibroid tissues from U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth in Boise Tuesday.

Chenoweth came out of the routine surgery at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise with no problems, said Khris Bershers, Chenoweth’s press secretary.

One of the surgeons, Ken Welker, said Chenoweth is in excellent health and should have a rapid recovery. Chenoweth is expected to remain in the hospital for four more days.

She plans to stay at home in Boise until Feb. 25. The House is in recess until Feb. 26.

Chenoweth, 57, also underwent surgery last August. The nature of the operation never was disclosed.

She fractured her arm in July and fractured her foot last winter. , DataTimes
