Dragons And Nwc In League Title Game

Every other girls Panorama League Tournament championship game during the 1990s has featured St. George’s. The 1996 title game will be no different.

Friday night, Dawn Trowbridge had seven of her nine steals in the third quarter, when the Dragons (16-6) began a 17-2 run that sealed their 63-41 win over visiting Selkirk (15-6). The Dragons meet Northwest Christian at 6 p.m. Friday in Colville for the first and second seeds to the District 7-B Tournament. Selkirk hosts Northport at 7 p.m. Monday in a loser-out, winner-to-district game.

Because of flooding, the Blue Mountain league tournament was canceled. Pomeroy (15-4), DeSales (13-6) and Waitsburg (11-7) among boys and Pomeroy (17-2), Waitsburg (12-7) and DeSales (12-9) among girls - advance automatically to the District 9-B Tournament.

On Tuesday, the Asotin (13-16) and Kahlotus (7-8) girls and the Asotin (12-7) and Touchet (9-10) boys play for the fourth and final berths.
