Riverside Upsets Wv, Tightens Race For Playoffs

Kasey Ahrens scored 29 and visiting Riverside made eight 3-pointers to upend fourth-ranked West Valley 87-79 on Saturday and tighten the league boys race.

The game lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes as officials whistled the host Eagles (15-3, 8-2) for 32 fouls and the third-place Rams (12-6, 6-4) for 24. The teams combined for 84 free-throw attempts.
