Eastern Washington At Idaho

Tipoff: EWU (3-18, 0-9 Big Sky) meets the Vandals (9-12, 3-6) at 7:05 p.m. in the Kibbie Dome.

At a glance: EWU conjures up pleasant memories for an Idaho team reeling from five straight losses. The Vandals, who shot 66 percent and drubbed EWU 75-53 last month, have won 21 straight in the series and are trying to keep grips on sixth place and the final slot in the Big Sky Tournament. EWU, however, has some momentum after ending a string of last-minute losses with a win at Sacramento State on Tuesday. EWU’s better play of late correlates with improved shooting and fewer turnovers. “We’ve been a doughnut team, nothing in the middle as far as physical presence,” EWU coach Steve Aggers said. “Going into Moscow, we better have someone step up physically or (Idaho’s) Harry Harrison is going to dunk on us again.”

Key players: EWU D’mitri Rideout, 11.4 ppg; Adam Dean, 5.8 rpg; Travis King, 3.1 apg. Idaho - Reggie Rose, 13.4 ppg, 2.9 apg; Harrison, 10 rpg.
