Stolen Baby Found Almost Two Years Later

From Staff And Wire Reports

Bruce and Alison Hunter finally have their baby girl, almost two years after she was stolen as a newborn from a Johannesburg hospital.

Hunter told a local radio station Friday that he and his wife were overjoyed and overwhelmed when police brought them the child, Micaela, before dawn Friday, ending a 22-month ordeal and a widespread public campaign to find her.

A 25-year-old woman who admitted stealing the infant in May 1994 from a Johannesburg hospital would likely be charged with child theft.
