King Fahd Ready To Resume Duties

King Fahd says he has recovered from his illness, indicating he may be ready to resume his duties as monarch.

The king’s half-brother, Crown Prince Abdullah, has been filling in for Fahd, who was hospitalized for about a week in November.

The king, who is in his early 70s, has not disclosed the exact nature of his illness but it is believed to have been a stroke.
