Loyola Marymount Overturns Pepperdine Again

Ben Ammerman scored 21 points as Loyola Marymount beat Pepperdine 75-62 Saturday night for its second victory over the Waves in a span of four days.

The Lions won a 74-64 decision in Malibu, Calif., on Wednesday night. The sweep was the first for Loyola over Pepperdine in nine years.

Zerrick Campbell had 18 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Dons over the Pilots at San Francisco.

USF remained tied with Loyola Marymount for third place. Portland shot only 18 percent from the floor in the first half and 28.6 percent in the game.
