Quick Flow Info
Riverrunners and anglers no longer have to gamble on whether major Idaho rivers will be out of shape for their particular recreation.
The Idaho Water Resources Department has begun providing river flow levels via Internet for 30 streams. The reports, revised each weekday, list the flows for each river in cubic feet per second.
Reports include the Snake, Teton, Boise, Payette, Deadwood, Owyhee, Bruneau, Salmon, Grande Ronde, Lochsa, Selway, Clearwater, St. Joe and Priest rivers, as well as outflow from Dworshak Reservoir.
To subscribe to the streamflow report service, send an E-mail message to: firstname.lastname@example.org. The message should read: subscribe flows (your E-mail address).
Recorded streamflow reports will be available on a telephone recording beginning in spring at (208) 327-7865.
Winter flow reports can be obtained from the Boise office at (208) 327-7900 or the National Weather Service at (208) 334-9860.
